Contemporary Living

The clients purchased a refurbished home that was updated by a builder. The structure was spacious and bright but the finishes of white paint, gray tile floors and white lacquer made the home feel cold and stark. They wanted to maintain the modern feel but make the space more welcoming. They also had several pieces from their last home that they wanted to incorporate and their goal was to make a nice flow from room to room. Much of the artwork had been purchased previously and they wanted to incorporate it into the new space.

Project Overview:

Due to the open flow of the living area to the kitchen and dining room, we needed to continue using modern elements but also warm the space up. We aimed to add the punch of color found in the dining room. We accomplished that with two swivel chairs made in a strawberry colored Brisa performance fabric with accent piping. We then added a sleek, modern sofa with Brisa fabric as well and a dynamic rug featuring large blue dots. We added simple but elegant tables to compliment this ensemble and a very modern floor lamp and accessories to finish it off.
