A Dream Bedroom Realized

Our clients had worked with an architect to build their dream home: a custom Four Square design, incorporating Craftsman and New England design elements, along with current functionality. But after 5 years in the home, it looked much like it did the day after they moved in: they were still struggling with purchasing furnishings and décor to fully realize their dream home. So they started with the primary bedroom.

Project Overview:

The clients needed substantial furniture that fit the scale of the large room, storage, seating, lighting, and generally a room that they could live in, and not just sleep in. They also wanted unique pieces that would blend nicely with their rustic glam style without cluttering the space.

This primary bedroom was completely transformed with a reclaimed teakwood headboard, sleek faceted nightstands, and a large rustic dresser. Ocean-inspired wallpaper accentuate the tray ceiling, and white and silver draperies add texture. An acrylic and aqua bench, and grey velvet swivel chairs add needed seating. Lamps in glass, marble and chrome, and textured artwork provide accents to this restful space. Truly a dream bedroom.
