Combined Office / Guest Room
Challenges
Our client wanted to turn her guest bedroom into a home office as well as a place for guests when needed. She is a corporate banker that travels a lot and often works from home. She wanted it to look beautiful for guests yet functional as a workplace. The room was small with not a lot of space.
Our Solutions
A bonded leather secretary desk in a heather gray finish was selected for Ingrid’s workplace. A desk chair of gray linen complemented the desk. A sofa sleeper in a charcoal gray chenille fabric with geometric pattern kidney pillows in salmon, gray and creme provided the needed color to the room. A large over-sized ottoman in faux crock leather was placed in the center of the room to double as a table and a place for guests to sit. An entertainment console was placed in front of the window for entertainment equipment and storage. An end table was also selected to provide a place for lighting and storage.
Soft gray walls were chosen for the room. The windows were dressed with panels and a box pleat valance in a silk salmon fabric accented with a hairy gray braided tape along the edges.
Beautiful accessories and art in shades of gray and salmon help to pull the space together. Now our client has a beautiful yet functional guest room home office.
